Diversity and Inclusion Statement

The American Society for Legal History fosters open, critical exchanges to advance legal history scholarship in all its variety. Consistent with our scholarly mission, we prize diversity in all aspects of our programming, conferences, publications, and fellowships. The Society welcomes membership and participation regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, appearance, ability, socioeconomic status, age, religion, or national origin. We endeavor to hold our annual meetings in accessible and sustainable venues, where the management respects the rights of workers, including the right to bargain collectively, and we promote collegiality and respectful interactions at all our meetings and events.
