For the first time in its history, the Society convened in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 2017 meeting was held from October 26, 2017 to October 29, 2017 at the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa.

The meeting was sponsored by the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The Plenary Lecture was delivered by Tomiko Brown-Nagin of Harvard Law School.

  • McCarran International Airport

    The Las Vegas airport is McCarran International Airport, which offers direct flights from throughout the United States, from Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia.

    Public Transportation

    Red Rock Complimentary Airport and Strip Shuttle

    Red Rock Resort provides a free shuttle to and from the airport for hotel guests. The travel time is approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Guests are accommodated based on first come, first served basis. One Airport Shuttle runs according to the schedule above and accommodates up to 28 guests. The shuttle provided by Red Rock Resort picks up from the Zero Level of Terminal 1. If your flight arrives into Terminal 3 you will need to take the airport-provided shuttle over to Terminal 1. Once at Terminal 1, Zero Level can be found by going one level below baggage claim. At the Zero Level, you will see an area that is designated for hotel courtesy shuttles. This is where you will need to be to catch the shuttle. Red Rock Resort does not have an assigned parking space number at the Zero Level, but they normally try to park somewhere between spaces 19 and 23. Their shuttle is white and says ‘Celebrity’ on the side; it will also have ‘Red Rock’ signs on the windows.

    Airport to Red Rock:
    • 6:00AM, 8:00AM, 10:00AM, 12:00PM, 2:00PM, 4:00PM, 6:00PM, 8:00PM, 9:00PM

    Red Rock to Airport (drops off at departure level):

    • 5:00AM, 7:00AM, 9:00AM, 11:00AM, 1:00PM, 3:00PM, 5:00PM, 7:00PM

    To the airport:

    • Shuttle Passes are issued at the Bell Desk
    • Shuttle Passes are for registered guests only
    • Guests can only be issued a Shuttle Pass for day of transportation 30 minutes prior to scheduled Shuttle departure times.
    • Guests may only book a maximum of 4 guests per Shuttle Pass per room (please refer larger groups directly to a Bell Captain)
    • Shuttle Passes are issued on a first come first serve basis
    • Guest that have misplaced their Shuttle Passes may be issues a new Shuttle Pass based on availability
    • Delays may result due to circumstances beyond our control such as weather, mechanical, traffic, etc.
    • Please be advised that all schedules are subject to change.
