ASLH 2017 Election Now Underway

The annual ASLH election is now in progress. From August 15 to September 15, members in good standing of the ASLH will be voting for 3 elections (president-elect, board of directors, nominating committee). The ballots are emailed to the email address associated with the subscription established by the member with the Cambridge University Press when purchasing the Law and History Review. Our election is conducted by Vote-Now, a leader in online voting services for academic associations and service organizations. The list of member names supplied to Vote-Now contains all members in good standing as of July 21, as known by Cambridge University Press.

If you receive an email but experience technical difficulties using it to vote, please reply to the Vote-Now email address given on the ballot to contact or if you would prefer to vote by telephone, call (844) 797-4575 (M-F, 9am-5pm U.S. EDT), to speak with a Vote-Now specialist. You will need the code contained in the email in order to vote.

If you have not received a ballot but expected to receive one, it means that you are considered a lapsed member of the society. Please contact Cambridge University Press via to renew your subscription to the LHR and simultaneously renew your membership with the ASLH. Any lapsed member who renews their membership via CUP before September 1 may send proof of that renewal to either Patricia Minter ( or Sally Hadden ( to be sent a ballot in the current election. All members who renew prior to September 1 will receive an email ballot on September 2 from Vote-Now. Individuals who renew after September 1 will not vote in the 2017 election.
